I included Stephen King and Jeffrey Eugenides too, Judy Blume got an honorable mention. I totally forgot about Katharine Howe, but I enjoyed both of her books.

I’m a huge Stephen King fan too – his books were pretty much a staple throughout my teen years. Excellent list – I’ll have to check out some of the other authors.
